Everything about Code Blue

How to Join

The address, versions, and joining from Java or Bedrock.

Code Blue is open to both Minecraft: Java Edition and Bedrock Edition, on the same address. This page covers how to connect from each, and what to expect the first time you join.

The address

Address play.codeblue.gg
Java versions 1.8 – 26.2
Bedrock port 19015

Joining on Java

  1. Open Minecraft: Java Edition and click Multiplayer.
  2. Click Add Server.
  3. Type play.codeblue.gg as the server address. You don’t need a port.
  4. Click Done, then join.

Any version from 1.8 to 26.2 can connect.

Joining on Bedrock

Bedrock players (Windows, phones and tablets, consoles) join through the same address, but you must type the port yourself. It is not Bedrock’s usual 19132.

  1. Open Minecraft and go to Play, then Servers.
  2. Scroll down and pick Add Server.
  3. Fill it in:
Field What to type
Server Name Code Blue (or anything you like)
Server Address play.codeblue.gg
Port 19015
  1. Save it and join.

On Bedrock, your name shows with a dot in front of it (for example .Steve), so it can’t clash with a Java player who has the same name.

The resource pack

When you join on Java, the server asks you to download its resource pack. It draws the rank badges, currency icons, pickaxe skins and more. Accept it: the pack is required, and declining it disconnects you.

Your first join

The first time you connect:

  • You’re welcomed to Code Blue with your inmate number, and everyone online is told you’ve arrived.
  • A Starter Crate is waiting for you. Place it anywhere to open it.
  • Your First Day guide starts. It shows your next step on a bar at the top of your screen, and each step pays a reward when you finish it.

Every time you come back after that, you get a short list of anything waiting for you: finished quests, your daily reward, and Battle Pass rewards to claim.

Tip: new here? Read Getting Started next. It walks you through your first hour step by step.

Can’t connect?

  • Bedrock: check the port is 19015. This is the most common mistake.
  • Java: make sure your game version is between 1.8 and 26.2.
  • Kicked right after joining on Java: you declined the resource pack. Join again and accept it.
