A gang is a crew of up to 5 players. Every block its members mine adds to the gang’s total, and when a season ends the top gangs are paid gems. Type /gang (or /gangs) to open the gang menu.

Starting or joining a gang

• Start one: /gang create <name>. A name can be up to 10 characters. The whole server hears about a new gang.
• Join one: a gang leader invites you, and you type /gang accept within 5 minutes. If more than one gang has invited you, use /gang accept <gang>.

You can only be in one gang at a time. To start or join a different one, leave yours first.

Gang value

Every block a member mines adds 1 to the gang’s total, added up about once a minute. The total is a bragging right, not a perk: being in a gang doesn’t boost anything while the season runs.

A few other things add to it too:

• The Gang Value Finder enchant adds value to your gang as you mine.
• Capturing the Yard in the Riot event adds a big chunk to your gang’s total, once Riot opens.

/gang top shows the biggest totals right now.

Seasons

When a season ends, every member of the top three gangs is paid gems:

Place	Gems for each member
1st	500
2nd	250
3rd	100

Then every gang’s total goes back to zero and a new season starts. Your gang’s menu shows where you place and what each member would be paid if the season ended now.

Gang chat

/gang chat turns gang chat on or off. While it’s on, what you type goes to your gang only, marked [GC]. Run it again to go back to normal chat.

Leaders and members

The player who started the gang is its leader. Only the leader can:

• invite players (/gang invite <player>)
• kick members (/gang kick <player>)
• rename the gang (/gang rename <name>)
• disband it (/gang disband), which ends the gang for everyone and throws away its total

Members can leave whenever they like with /gang leave, and their mining stops adding to the total. A leader can’t leave their own gang: they disband it instead.

Gang members can’t hurt each other, except inside events like Riot.
