Everything about Code Blue

Armor

A set that levels as you mine.

Everyone wears one armor set, and it grows with you. Mine with your own pickaxe and the set earns XP, levels up, and climbs through seven tiers from Common to Insanity. Each level adds a little to its boosts. Open /armors (or /armor) to see your set, its level and what it’s doing for you.

Getting your set

You’re given a Common set at level 1 when you first join, and it goes straight on. The set is soulbound: it can’t be dropped, stored, traded or taken off, and you keep it when you die.

Lost a piece somehow? /armors claim (or the button in /armors) gives back any missing pieces.

Earning armor XP

Your set earns 1 XP for every block you break with your own pickaxe swings. Blocks broken by area enchants and other automatic breaks don’t count, so armor rewards the mining you do yourself.

You need all four pieces on to earn XP, and all four on for the boosts to work.

Tiers and levels

Every tier has 10 levels, and each level costs a little more XP than the last. When you finish a tier’s last level, your set turns into level 1 of the next tier on the spot, and the server hears about it. Insanity level 10 is the top.

Tier Looks like XP to finish the tier
Common Leather about 4,500
Uncommon Leather about 13,600
Rare Chainmail about 40,900
Epic Iron about 123,000
Legendary Gold about 368,000
Mythic Diamond about 1.1 million
Insanity Netherite about 3.3 million

All the way from Common to a maxed Insanity set is about 5 million blocks mined by hand.

Boosts

Armor boosts are modest on purpose: a fully maxed set sits below one good pet. The boosts grow level by level through each tier, from the first number at level 1 to the second at level 10.

Tier Money, tokens, shards and pickaxe XP Enchant trigger chance
Common 1% → 5% 1% → 2%
Uncommon 6% → 10% 3% → 5%
Rare 11% → 16% 6% → 8%
Epic 17% → 23% 9% → 12%
Legendary 24% → 31% 12% → 16%
Mythic 32% → 40% 16% → 20%
Insanity 41% → 50% 21% → 25%

The currency boosts apply to what you earn from mining. There’s no gem boost: gems are never mined.

Armor skins

A skin changes how your set looks and nothing else. It never adds a boost or speeds up your XP. There’s one skin for each rank, and it comes with that rank:

Skin Looks like Comes with
Convict The orange jumpsuit, straight from intake Convict
Kingpin A sharp green suit and a gold crown Kingpin
Warden The Warden’s own uniform, in royal purple Warden

Ranks build on each other, so a Warden can wear all three. Pick yours in /cosmetics → Armor Skins, or from the Armor Skins button in /armors. See Cosmetics and Store & Gems.
