Cosmetics
Skins, particles, tab flair, chat colors and more.
Cosmetics change how you look and nothing else. None of them boost anything. They all live in one
menu, /cosmetics, with a page for each kind:
| Page | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Pickaxe Skins | How your pickaxe looks. |
| Armor Skins | How your armor looks. |
| Particles | Particles that move with you. |
| Chat Color | The color your chat messages are shown in. |
| Tab Flair | An animated tag after your name in the tab list. |
| Gradient Name | Your own name in two colors, in chat and in tab. |
| Kill Messages | How your kills and deaths are told in chat. |
Everything you unlock stays yours unless you sell it on the marketplace. Switch between the ones you own as often as you like.
Where cosmetics come from
- The Cosmetic Capsule. Each one opens to three looks: chat colors,
tab flair, kill messages, pickaxe skins and, rarely, particles. Buy capsules in
/store, or get them from the Battle Pass and other rewards. Kingpin gets one free every month, and Warden gets two. - Ranks. Each rank brings its own chat gradient, kill messages, armor skin and pickaxe skin, and Warden adds the Custom Trail and its own tab flair. See Store & Gems.
- Holiday calendars. Some looks are only ever given by an event.
- Gems. Pickaxe skins can be bought straight from
/cosmetics, and the Gradient Name and Custom Trail are sold in/store. - The marketplace. Buy capsule looks and skins from other players for gems,
or sell yours with
/marketplace. Holiday, Battle Pass and rank cosmetics can’t be traded.
Pickaxe skins
A skin changes how your pickaxe looks and nothing else about it. Pick one in /cosmetics → Pickaxe
Skins (or /skins), and it goes on your pickaxe with one click. The page opens on four shelves: the
Store, the Battle Pass, the Ranks and the Holidays.
The Store skins can be bought right there with gems. Click a locked skin once, then again to confirm. You can also find them in the Cosmetic Capsule.
| Skin | Price |
|---|---|
| Nightstick | |
| Duct Tape | |
| Cellblock | |
| Frostbite | |
| Molten | |
| Galaxy | |
| Rainbow |
A few skins are never sold:
| Skin | How to get it |
|---|---|
| Code Blue | The final premium Battle Pass reward. |
| Reaper’s Scythe | The Hallowed calendar’s Pinnacle. |
| Candy Cane | The Winter calendar’s Pinnacle. |
| Honey | The Spring calendar’s Pinnacle. |
| Riptide | The Summer calendar’s Pinnacle. |
| Convict | Comes with the Convict rank. |
| Kingpin | Comes with the Kingpin rank. |
| Warden | Comes with the Warden rank. |
Armor skins
An armor skin changes how your set looks. It never adds a boost or speeds up your armor XP. There’s one for each rank, and it comes with that rank:
| Skin | Looks like | Comes with |
|---|---|---|
| Convict | The orange jumpsuit, straight from intake | Convict |
| Kingpin | A sharp green suit and a gold crown | Kingpin |
| Warden | The Warden’s own uniform, in royal purple | Warden |
Ranks build on each other, so a Warden can wear all three. Pick yours in /cosmetics → Armor Skins, or
from the Armor Skins button in /armors.
Particles
Particles that move with you. Each one builds to a moment while you stand still, and changes shape when you move. The Cosmetic Capsule holds six, and pulling one is rare enough that the whole server hears about it:
| Particle | What it does |
|---|---|
| Code Blue | Standing, red and blue rings ripple out across the floor, then climb round you and set off the alarm. Moving, your ankles blink. |
| Lockdown | An alarm ring pulses from your feet, and strobes your route while you move. |
| Contraband | Something glints in your pockets, and slips out behind you while you walk. |
| Cell Bars | Stand still and a cell builds around you, bar by bar, then slams shut. Walk and you drag a ball and chain, throwing sparks. |
| Escape Tunnel | Cracks spread across the floor around you, dirt starts flying, then it breaks through. Running kicks dirt up behind you. |
| Snitch | A tiny glowing informant buzzes round your head with a mind of its own, chases you when you run, and now and then flies to your ear to whisper. |
Warden also comes with the Custom Trail, a trail in two colors you choose.
Kingpins can buy the Custom Trail on its own in /store.
Chat colors
/chatcolor (or /color) picks the color your messages are shown in. Only the message changes: your
name keeps the color of your rank. /chatcolor reset goes back to plain.
| Kind | Colors | How to get them |
|---|---|---|
| Plain colors | Red, Gold, Yellow, Lime, Green, Aqua, Teal, Blue, Pink | Each one unlocks on its own, from the Cosmetic Capsule and other rewards. |
| Rank gradients | Jumpsuit (Convict), Payday (Kingpin), Night Shift (Warden) | Come with the rank. A Warden has all three. |
| Event gradients | Hallowed (Halloween), Snowfall (Winter), Bloom (Spring), Tsunami (Summer) | Only by finishing that holiday’s calendar. |
Tab flair
An animated tag after your name in the tab list. The Cosmetic Capsule holds eleven:
Siren, Heartbeat, Sparkle, Rainbow, Loading, Lightning, Inferno, Frostbite, Heart, Skull and Money.
The Warden flair comes with the Warden rank, and each holiday calendar gives one on its last night: Hallowed Moon, Snowdrift, Blossom and Sunburst.
Gradient name
Your own name in two colors of your choice, in chat and in tab. It comes with Kingpin, and Convicts can
buy it on its own in /store.
Kill messages
How your kills and deaths are told in chat. A kill is told in the killer’s style, and a death nobody caused (a fall, the void, lava) in the victim’s. The line only goes to the players in your event, or in your world, never the whole server.
| Package | How to get it |
|---|---|
| Standard | Everyone has it. |
| Cellmate | Convict rank |
| Kingpin | Kingpin rank |
| Warden | Warden rank |
| Haunted | Halloween calendar |
| Frostbitten | Winter calendar |
| Bloom | Spring calendar |
| Sparkler | Summer calendar |
| Cartoon, Glitch, Royal, Chef | The Cosmetic Capsule |
Ranks build on each other, so a Warden can use Cellmate, Kingpin and Warden.
Tip:
/cosmeticsshows what you’re wearing on each page, so you can check your whole look at a glance.
