Getting Started

Your first hour on the yard, step by step.

Welcome to Code Blue. This page walks you through your first hour: where to mine, what to spend, and what everything on your screen means. You don’t have to remember any of it: your First Day guide shows the next step on a bar at the top of your screen until you’ve done them all.

Your first day

First Day starts as you leave the tutorial hallway and step into the main hall. Each step pays a reward when you finish it, and the next step appears straight away.

Step What to do How
1 Open your Starter Crate Place it anywhere to open it.
2 Mine 500 blocks Your mine is at /mine.
3 Buy an enchant upgrade Right-click with your pickaxe.
4 Reach 100K prestige Your money buys prestige as you mine.
5 Buy a mine upgrade Spend Merits in /mine upgrades.
6 Let your autominer take over Mine a little, then stop mining in your mine for 10 seconds.
7 Claim a quest or your daily reward Everything waiting for you is in /progress.
8 Reach 1M prestige Your first big milestone.

Tip: a step you’ve already done when it comes up, like a prestige you passed while mining, completes on its own a moment later.

The loop

Everything on Code Blue grows out of one loop:

  1. Mine. Every block you break sells for money, and finds tokens and shards along the way.
  2. Prestige. Your money buys prestige on its own as you mine. Every prestige milestone pays Merits.
  3. Upgrade. Tokens and shards buy enchants for your pickaxe. Merits buy upgrades for your mine and your autominer.
  4. Rebirth. When you’re ready, rebirth to start the climb again with a permanent boost.

Your pickaxe

You start with a pickaxe that already has Explosive I, which blows a sphere out of the mine now and then. Right-click with it to open the enchant menu. Your pickaxe levels up as you mine, and higher levels unlock stronger enchants. See Pickaxe and Enchantments.

Your mine

Every player has a private mine of their own. Type /mine to go there, and /mine menu for its menu. It refills on its own as you mine it out, and you can make it bigger and better with Merits. See Your Mine.

Useful commands

Command What it does
/mine Go to your mine.
/mine menu Your mine’s menu: upgrades, settings, tax and your autominer.
/progress Prestige, quests, your daily reward and the Battle Pass in one place.
/balance Every currency you hold.
/cosmetics Pickaxe skins, armor skins, particles, chat colors and more.
/settings Your personal switches, like auto prestige and the profanity filter.
/spawn Back to spawn.
